100% Recycled Cardboard Lounge Chair
The Post Chair is a chair built completely of easily accessible and reasonably priced recycled double-walled corrugated cardboard. The aim of this chair is to demonstrate what can be done with unconventional materials in areas beyond what they are known for.
This lounge chair structure is made up of 20 components that work together to form and operate the chair. It is constructed from 0.6mm-thick recycled double-walled corrugated cardboard panels with premade cuts for assembly.
The chair comes with a pre-assembled base. After removing the chair from its flatpack form, just slip the top onto the structure and the chair is ready to use.
The chair‘s shape allows it to be sat on comfortably. It provides pleasant back and knee support. After a hard day (The Post-“hard day“ Chair), you may sit and read your favorite book or lean back and relax. Rhombuses, the pattern formed by the connections, are strong enough to sustain a fully grown human. If properly cared for, the chair should last for many years. If it must be discarded, flatten it and drop it in the recycling bin guiltlessly, knowing it will be recycled into a new chair.
